Two Oklahoma Casinos Close After Coronavirus Employee Contracts

Just five days after three tribal casinos in Arizona closed for enhanced cleanup after an employee tested positive for COVID -19, two tribal casinos in Oklahoma followed suit.

The Sac & Fox Nation, a tribal state in Oklahoma, announced Tuesday that it would close two casinos after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus. According to local NBC affiliates, the tribe will close Black Hawk Casino at Shawnee and Sac and Fox Casino in Stroud for an indefinite period of time visiting poker88.

A statement from the tribe said that the closure was being implemented “because of a lot of caution.” When businesses are closed, both properties will undergo deep cleaning procedures and the entire game area will be disinfected.

Last Thursday, Gila River Gaming closed three Arizona casinos after a 68-year-old security guard died from the virus.

There have been several similar cases in Las Vegas, where employees contracted the virus, but instead of shutting down entire casinos, Vegas operators have chosen to temporarily close the areas where the employee worked.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas cleared the entire officer’s offices after two of its team members tested positive, while several restaurants on the Strip Casino were temporarily closed after employees received positive tests.
